    Living Greyhawk Gazetteer

Greetings, all. I was wondering just what information regarding Post War was contained in the LG Gazetteer. Does it include the Flight of Fiends? The Great Northern Crusade? If it does, I may get into a bidwar on Ebay for it.

I don't play any longer ( locale is a byotch to find a group of dedicated RPGers) but I do like to keep abreast of the goings on in my second home.

Thanks in advance for your input.

It does contain details on those iirc. But don't let that bid war go higher than $ 10. If you're lucky you can get one for around $5.

The Living Greyhawk Gazetteer (LGG) has minimal information on the flight of fiends and the northern crusade. I think that Greyhawk: the Adventure Begins describes both of those events in greater detail. The LGG is still an awesome product and certainly well worth having as the definitive gazetteer for the Flanaess.

Ok, great. Now does the LGG have postwar stats on countries? For instance, does the Shield Lands exist at all? Is the Great Kingdom still intact, etc.

The LGG has excellent and by far the most descriptive kingdom descriptions of Greyhawk material. Each kingdom begins with stats such as fuler, communities, races, religions, populations, alignment, government, capital, provinces, coinage, allies, enemies, and 1-2 other stats. This information appears as a stat block.

The meat of the text is overview (a detailed description of the kingdom) and history. Together most kingdoms average about 2 pages though some such as the Bandit Lands take several pages to describe.

Check out some of the LG websites too. Many of them contain some information on post war events in that campaign, although few update the sites in any detail. I'm hoping that once LG comes to a close some of the fans involved will immortalise the results from the last 6-7 years of mods to give us an optional timeline to play with.

Oh, I've been scouring the the web, Wikipedia and such for tidbits. I was hoping that some work was collected on the subject, ala the Marklands or Iuz the Evil as the end all be all of LGH canon.

Magus, if you want post-war info then absolutely get either the LGG or the From the Ashes box. If you are looking for for pre-war, get the old '85 box. The LGG is the most up-to-date source for Greyhawk after the Greyhawk Wars and for a few years after. The LG campaigns have each done more to advance time and plots within the respective regions, but aren't necessary to run a post-war campaign. Some items, like the Flight of Fiends and the Northern Crusade are only spoken of anyway, with most details left up to the DM's and players' imagination, AIR. I'd get the LGG if you want up-to-date, 3.x material.
