Hiya.
Does anyone know what happened to Valarie Valusek? She had one of the coolest art styles. I always liked her 'down to earth' type of character, equipment, etc. design, and her use of line thicknesses.
Anyone have any info? _________________ ^_^

Paul L. Ming
I wonder the same thing about Jeff Easley. I thought his artwork really set the tone with his 1st and 2nd edition art.

Easley became famous for doing card art for such games as "Magic: the Gathering," etc... _________________ Kneel before me, or you shall be KNELT!

Easley was at Lake Geneva Gaming Con last year. No info on VV, though. _________________ Allan Grohe (grodog@gmail.com)

Valerie Valusek was involved with the Worldforge Project (worldforge.org) as recently as 2003. No real info on her there, although there was this one sketch by her.

Totally agree. That work by VV was really evocative. Also, the work by David Roach and Sam Wood in The Adventure Begins. And, I think, Fred Fields; haven't got the books to hand, but his name is in my head for some reason. All that B&W artwork captured the essence of Greyhawk in a way that the glossy colour art never did. Really good stuff to hand across to your players saying "this is the view that greets you as you sail up the Selintan towards the walls of the city". Can't say I often do that with the 3e artwork.
