if i have a cleric of heiroenous, can i be a "generic" cleric of heironeous, and dont have sphere restrictions, or i am assumed to have restrictions as Heiroenous would have (or not )
A cleric of heironeous would have sphere restrictions as would any cleric of a specific deity.
A cleric would not have the weapon/armour restrictions or receive special bonuses/penalties that a priest of the deity would abide.
Ofcourse dependent upon how religion is run in the gameworld their could be social reprocussions for clerics within a particular faith that refuse to honour those items deemed important to the deity. ie: a cleric of heironeous can not use a battleaxe (weapon restriction) but he could wear chainmail; an armour important to heironeous.
Yes, you can play a generic Cleric of Heironeous. Basiclly, ignore the specialty priest entry altogether and use all of the Cleric class features *as is*. If you wnat to, you can use the 83' WoG boxed set Glossography bit that says a Cleric of Heironeous of 11th level may use a bolt of energy once per week. See page 42 of the Glossography for a description of the ability. _________________ - Moderator/Admin (in some areas)/Member -
