Can you make it go away, please?

Sorry, no. It's one of our new features. All you have to do is read your message and it will go away.

If you "Save" the message it will go away.

If you "Delete" the message it will go away.

If you ignore the message . . . it will "pop up" forever.

I feel your pain, Thanael. Even if I read all of my messages, it still occasionally pops up(at least for me; might be an admin thing). And, it doesn't show up just once when you first visit the site, like it should, but over and over again when you switch pages on the site even. So, it can be very annoying. I have to clear my Inbox out completely to make it stop. Something was changed to make it better than it first was, but there is still some sort of issue with it. Hopefully Gary/Crystaltears can look into it/fix it, as you can be sure that none of us want a feature to also be an annoyance. Wink

Edit: some of this has been fixed now. Yay! Happy

I have never received any popup telling me that I have messages on this site. I have received several messages since this thread opened and I keep watching to see if I have the same problem, but I've never seen such a popup.

I'm just throwing that out there so that the Admins are aware that there may be more Bane Midges running around in the system causing problems (like pilfering my New Messages popups). Shocked

Fortunately, "Bane Midges" have no Saving Throw and no Spell Resistance . . . they can be Banished!

We'll get back to work, de-bugging the system. Wink

Rest assured, I will be refining it Thanael.   For now I will try to set all message before Oct 1st as read on all accounts, so it should only truly be the new ones that open.
