Anybody heard about fantasy movies coming to the big screen?

Last I heard they were still going to make a D&D sequel. Blech.

I also heard that WETA was going to make a TV show out of The Hobbit or at the very least a show set in Middle Earth in the same style as New Zealand based shows Hercules and Xena except not quite so campy.

George Lucas denied that he was making a more Start Wars movies but he avoided answering the part of question that asked about a Star Wars TV show.

Well, they can't do much worse, can they? (Don't answer that.)

Aren't any of George Lucas's friends brave enough to tell him that his work, since about halfway through Return of the Jedi, is absolute cr*p? That's what friends are for, to tell you when you're making an **** of yourself before it becomes public knowledge.

Stone-age teddy bears defeating the Most Feared Fighting Force in the Galaxy? Kids don't want "cute"; they want justice.

Jar-Jar Binks? The only way to make him worse is to add the word, "Massa" to any of his lines. Makes your skin crawl.

Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman are decent actors. Only someone of Lucas's caliber (.22 short?) can screw up a scene with these two.

Samuel Jackson as a Jedi? I kept waiting for him to add "M-F" to his lines. Hell, probably would have made a better movie...

Telas, still bitter over the last two Star Wars movies, but still going to see this one....
