The idea that Qabu Al-Imbraturi was invisible until recently is intriguing. Was it on another plane until some prophecy, contingency or celestial alignment forced it back to Oerth? The question of what's going on to make it reveal itself seems a major part of the story.

I was going to complain about you placing the Mulwar and Changar north of the Sea of Dust, but I remember that Sea of Death had them showing up in Kester, so it doesn't seem unreasonable for tribes of those people to roam the Dry Steppes even if their homeland is elsewhere.

The tribes were labeled by Anna whose research on maps I trust. I read Sea of Death once and even did a post on them. That may be an area I'll have to check again.

As for Qabu's appearance and what revealed it, is definitely a mystery I'd like to explore. My initial thought was straight up illusion. Having it on another plane fits with Oerth tradition of partial planes and fading lands, or heck even the possible nature of the Invoked Devastation. I'm inclined to leave it vague for now. Whatever the answers perhaps its tied to the defenses of the megadungeon.
