    Marklands Cover Question

I used to have a copy of the TSR 25th Anniversary catalog. In it the Greyhawk section showed a different cover to the Marklands than was used in the final product. It was a dark haired warrior grasping a sword and staring over a battlefield.

Does anyone know where it is possible to find this image?

You might have to be a little more specific. Marklands does have a fighter holding a sword, though he's standing on a rock looking down at attackers.

Jeff Easley did alot, or all, of the post-FtA GH covers. If TSR didn't use a cover on Marklands, they probably used it elsewhere. Looking at Easley's Pen & Paper Database entry, and looking around the time Marklands (for which he did the cover) was released, one sees "Doom of Daggerdale". Click on the link, and boom, a fighter holding a sword, point in ground, and looking backwards. Not sure if that's your image or not. If not, well..more details, please.

    No, that's not it.

Okay - trying to be more specific it depicted a mailed warrior with no helm, a long mane of black hair, holding his sword horizontally. There was a reddish background behind him and a very long expression his face.

That's really all from memory - it was in the 25th Anniversary TSR Catalog - a perfect bound catalog.
