    Siege Campaign Locations

Just some notes for those wishing to do a Nation Under Siege style game, with enemies all around but hope still survives. Four areas provided to allow people to select a preferred region.

Irongate – Mostly Dwarven and Human population.
4th Edition - Dragonborn immigrants from across the Azure Sea, arrived in the last 10 years.
    Allies and Sponsors –
    • United Artificers of Irongate for Bards and Wizards.
    • Dwarven houses for any Dwarves.
    Ally or Enemy –
    • Scarlet Brotherhood – giving/planting information to keep Irongate forces and Ahlissa and Orcs again eachother. They may even offer training or rescue PC’s ‘loyal to our beloved Irongate’
    Enemies –
    • Ahlissa by land and by sea
    • Orc Pirates from the south
    Major Events and Notes
    • Increase in the size and amount of raids by Orcs against Irongate area. Secretly given shipping routes by the Scarlet Brotherhood. However the Orcs are happy to raid Ahlissa lands for a price instead.
    • Ahlissa raiding mines and dwarven forts in Iron Hills. Later they will return to those places to raise the fallen as undead minions and march them towards the larger towns.

Perrenland – Mostly Dwarven and Human population.
4th Edition – Shifter tribes from the Tiger and Wolf Nomads are on a long term trading expedition.
    Allies and Sponsors –
    • Churches of Pelor and St Cuthbert – All classes.
    • Local militia is well organised and loyal to Perrenland.
    Ally or Enemy –
    • Dragon and Lizardmen minions in Mounds of Dawn in the northwest – may be a patron to a PC for information traded. It may need assistance vs Duergar in the Yatils.
    Enemies –
    • Gnoll tribes in Sepia uplands to the northeast
    • Horned Society minions and cultists from hidden bases in Clatspur mountains to the south.
    Major Events and Notes
    • Gnolls raiding closer to Traft, rumours of gnoll tribal gathering to siege Traft in autumn. Gnolls are given magical protection by Horned Society within the towns as payment to keep attacking.
    • Duegar raiding patrols and Lizardmen raiding villages in the Mounds of Dawn. Either are happy to work against the other.

Ratik - Mostly Dwarven and Human population.
4th Edition - Tieflings refugees from the Great Kingdom, arrived within the last 15 years.
    Allies and Sponsors –
    • Churches of Procan and Trithereon – All classes.
    • Noble Houses of Ratik – All classes.
    Ally or Enemy –
    • Kuo-toa raiders from the sea. Initially raiding towns for food and territory, but then request aid as they are fleeing a great menace, Sea based Undead from the south.
    Enemies –
    • Evil cults and orc tribes from Bonemarch to the south
    • Goblins and Giants from The Rakers to the west
    Major Events and Notes –
    • Evil cults leading Orcs to gather sacrifices for ‘sacred’ night for their cult. Also looking for ruins of ziggurats in the hills with ancient fiend lore within.
    • Goblins raiding Ratik farms for plunder. Happy to work against Bonemarch orcs for gems.

Sterich – Mostly Dwarven and Human population.
4th Edition - Eladrin characters may have been sent by Knights of Luna to assist in the region.
    Allies and Sponsors –
    • Knights of the Watch – for Fighters, Rangers and Paladins.
    • Drawmij or Otto from the Circle of Eight are keeping an eye on the area in various guises.
    Ally or Enemy –
    • Silent Ones of Keoland - for Bards and Wizards (trying to gain influence in Sterich and Yeomandry).
    Enemies –
    • Crystalmists to the west with Drow & Giants
    • the Jotens to the south with Ogres and Giant tribes
    Major Events and Notes –
    • Drow killing spellcasters and political leaders after taunting them for weeks with slain allies.
    • Ogres and Giants fighting over territory, consider Sterich ‘theirs’. One clan is controlled by Mind Flayers who will slowly darken the area with magic.

    Hmmm...

Not really sure I understood the post, but it seems like Geoff should be in there somewhere. It could only be based in Hochoch.

Giants and inhuman allies to the west in the remnants of Geoff.
Humanoinds and other nasties in the Dim forest to the north.
Unfriendly elves in the Oytwood to the south.
The Knights of the Watch throughout their one liberated city, Hochoch.
The Gran March, possibly with imperial ambitions to the east.

It is a nation actually under siege, with only one city left.

Due to past behaviour, even its allies, Keoland, Gran March, and the Knights, there is intense distrust of their "friends."
