Incidentally, I assume that the Nql- mentioned in Eldritch Wizardry is the same as the "Uncle" said to be the patron of House Maure.

Now that's curiouser and curiouser, and places the use of the Codex in a much more Necronomicon-like light, and that aligns well with RJK's Maure Castle hints that tie the Maures back to the Lovecraftian Mythos.

See both the thread on the Paizo boards @ http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2ncjv?And-the-true-name-of-Y-is and RJK's article "Advent of the Elder Ones: Mythos vs. Man in the Lake Geneva Original Campaign, 1973-1976" on the influence of Lovecraft in the Greyhawk campaign in AFS #2 @ http://hallsoftizunthane.blogspot.com/2012/12/afs-issue-2-is-released.html

Do we know more about whether EGG vs. RJK vs. BB first created the Codex? The ties back to the City of Brass suggest RJK to me, but it could easily have been someone else.

The use of the anagrammic names Tzunk and Yagrax suggests Gary Gygax's hand, though perhaps the presence of Tzunk/Tzoonk was his way of tipping his hat toward his muse on the subject.

Actually I need to check if Yagrax was in EW. I don't think he was. I know the City of the Gods, a feature of Arneson's campaign that both Gygax and Kuntz played in, was, and that also implies the work was not Blume's.
