Yes! Castle Ravenloft obviously belongs in or near Ket, for the sake of the Wallachia versus the Ottomans theme. It would have been built during Keoland's occupation of Ket. This account put it in the Barrier Peaks, which is close, but my inclination is to put it in the Yatils as well.

I'm pleased to hear his take on Raveloft as I was close by placing it in the northern Clatspurs in my own campaign. Greg has obviously thought its placement through more thoroughly than I did though, and I think it makes excellent sense.

In addition, the Isle of Dread has always been one of my very favorite D&D adventures. I'm glad to know it was Mr. Vaughn that did so much work keeping that location a viable adventure locale in future editions of the game.

LOL! Yeah, you should've been around on Thursday nights chats back when Gary Holian and Greg were still writing the stuff. We used to give them a bit of good humored grief as I recall. Poor Mystara...;)

    Nice interview! Smile
That guy has done some great work, but my favorite was his work on Dungeon Magazine's #117, 118, and 119, which were the adventures: 'Touch of the Abyss', 'Wrath of the Abyss', and 'Shadow of the Abyss'. Those adventures take place in the March of Sterich, with Istivin as the main setting. During the adventure the PC's travel around Istivin, as well as to the Jotens Mtns, and the underdark and they fight Frost Giants, Demons, Drow, a cult of the Elder Elemental Eye (Tharizdun) and eventually face off against the Malgoth (a nasty colossal creature of pure evil) in Istivin's town square.
I ran that adventure arc in 2011 and my players had a blast. For the miniature that represented the Malgoth, I had to go to a craft store and get a styrofoam ball, paint it black and put black pipe cleaners in it as tentacles and I even glued on a bunch of little eyes. Wink It was pretty funny!
