The Seekers?

Hello All,
First post here. I've been playing in Greyhawk on and off for years (and years). I've only recently really gotten into the feel for the game world. I've been reading some modules in Dungeon magazine that have been excellent. An example is the redo of Maure Castle.
In this module (and at least one other) they mention a group of people called "the Seekers". I've never heard of them before, but that isn't a big thing. Are these guys detailed in other places then the Dungeon? Are they an established group? Where can I learn more informaiton about them?
Thanks for any help.

Welcome to CF!
To kind of answer your question keep your eyes on Dungeon down the road. My sources tell me there will be an article expanding on this organization. For now I'd say they are an organization of treasure hunters with the zeal of an old Indiana Jones movie.

Individual tastes will vary, of course, but I find the name "The Seekers" to be incredibly trite and cliche. It sounds to me like something out of an old Saturday morning cartoon, like The Seekers should drive around in The Mystery Machine and have names Hawkwind Moonstar or Burblebottle Rockhead. Too Skeletor.

The Seekers are mentioned in one of the Oerth Journals. One of ealier issues. If I remember well they are a nickname given to Zuoken travelling zealots. I could be wrong. But check the early Oerth Journals.
The links are in the Special Features section, just left on your screen.
*edit*
Yep, check page 16 on the Oerth Journal issue 3. I am not sure it is appropriate to paste it in here, so ... if you are still interested check the 3 rd Oerth Journal. The chapter is called Baklunish delights. Nice read.

I think the seekers are form a group that hunts out ancient and powerful magical items. I don't think that they are a close-knit group. They are rivals of the Silent Ones of Keoland (who want to hide such items away).
The most infamous Seeker is the renegade Eli Tomerast. I think most of the others are good or neutral.
There was some info in the LGG gazeteer on the Silent Ones and I think a bit more in the recent Maure Castle module in Dungeon.
Hope that helps!

There is also a little bit about The Seekers in the Living Greyhawk Journal #4. The article is primarily about The Silent Ones, but have a few hints about The Seekers.
