    Map of Seaton

    Map of Seaton

This is more about map submissions in general, but using the Map of Seaton as an example. (heh, sorry Wes)

You can obviously tell Wes isn't a cartographic pro by the quality of the Seaton Map, but what is important is that Wes did his best with the tools he has available and that he has shared his work by contributing and submitting his map to Canonfire.

His map isn't the most beautiful and the text isn't anything flashy, but the map is highly functional, and I'm willing to bet a number of people (including myself) will put that map to use in our home campaigns.

Wes, I rated the submission 5/5 easily. Thanks for sharing. Wink

If anyone is interested, I found a site with a map of Saltmarsh and the general area. http://members.aol.com/Laggamundo/borderland.html

I love the map. Can someone please tell me how I can print this (and other) maps. Everytime I try to print them I just get one page that is incomplete.

Which program are you opening the images in for printing? Or are you printing from your browser? (Internet Explorer?)

Ok, I think your best bet will be to do the following...

    1. Once you have the map opened in your browser click File> scroll down to Save As> then click the Browse> button and choose a location you will find easy, like your Desktop, click Save>

    2. Now click the icon (image file) on your desktop (or wherever you saved it to) representing the image.

Now which program does it open in (MS Paint, Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, etc etc ?) and which version of windows do you use?

I like the maps that wolfshire linked to, the Saltmarsh map is actually somewhat similar to the one I made for my game... and I feel that the overland map of 'The Borderlands" as they call the area that has become known as Salinmoor since the advent of the LGG, is very accurate to the darlene map.

Any chance for an article developing your key on the Seaton map?

sure there is, if I ever get around to typing it up, I have information written up for each of the locations I have keyed on the map... which is why I keyed them in the first place...

If you find the time, I am sure it will be worth it. Your work is top notch.

I will throw in an idea, which I cannot take credit for. There is a narrative adventure teaser by Mike Schleigh at the Keoland LG site that says bitter cranberry lambic is a regional specialty. Seaton looks to be far enough away from the Hool Marshes to avoid continual bacterial contamination, yet close enough to have acquired a strains to produce the characteristic lambic flavor. Seaton would be an excellent location for a specialty brewery or even several organized into a guild.
