Inspired by the writings of Henry David Thoreau who once wrote, "Where ever there is a channel for water—there is a road for the canoe," The Great Flanaess River Adventure draws upon that theme by taking the newly created player characters from the headwaters of the Fler River, by canoe, all the way to Greyhawk.
Here are some facts about the upcoming River Campaign:
*An all new 1E Greyhawk campaign
*Set in the years 581-582 CY (Pre-Greyhawk Wars)
*The adventure consists of 15 Chapters
*It covers 653 pages
*It is a 95 Hex, Hex-Crawl
*It covers an expansive 2,850 mile journey
*Travels through 8 countries
*Crosses 5 plains
*Through 4 forests
*Over 2 lakes
*Down 3 rivers
*Features over 300+ monsters from MMI, MMII, & FF
*Includes over 100 illustrations
*As well as over 100 quotes from Henry David Thoreau's journal that tie into the campaign
*It is the longest D&D river campaign ever created
*And best of all . . . the price is free!
I'm going through it to see if I can use it in my current campaign (or maybe as the next one). So far it looks pretty good.
Very nicely laid out too. So many free adventures fall apart because the layout is confusing or inconsistent. This looks professionally done. Excellent job!
