I'd suggest your average Nyrondese would ask, "what festival?"
Of course, this depends if Nyrond sees itself as the legitimate successor to Aerdy, in which cases it would celebrate those victories, or as a people who have "regained" their independence from the Malachite Throne. As I recall, the rulers of Nyrond are offshoots of the Great Kingdom's dynasties, not native descendants, and so would incline to keep the traditional festival. On the other hand, if they deemed it necessary to create an identify that was always opposed to Aerdy (much like we are always at war with Eurasia and Eastasia) than the festival would be forgotten, or reworked to emphasize the glorious defense of the homeland.
