I would like to clarify that OJ12 Gygax interview refers to the starship of the "Expedition to the Barrier Peaks" scenario.
My reference is from the "Hidden Shrine of Tomoachan," a scenario not written by Gygax, where the miniature is indeed Warden-II. Both description (fish-like with fins) and name in anagrammatism.
Inside Murlynd's abode there are games. It is not too stretched to assume that one of the Murlynd games is the Metamorphosis Alpha game, since the two products (Metamorhosis Alpha and Dungeonland) were released close enough.
