It comes from the Kendeen Pass, the primary route through the Mountains. Kendeen apparently means "Harsh", and I leave it to individuals to fill in what the particular declension means. It does not mean "yeomanry" itself. The name came from a general bull-session between me and Gary Holian, trying to find any sort of alternative to just "the Yeomanry League." At one point I said "Kendeen-something," and he replied "Kendeenil League," and I tweaked it from there for the various periods.
