Defensive blow: how it works, actually? When you fight to protect someone with less HD, does that means if you join a battle, and your cohort is there (1 less hd than you), even if the objetive of your enemy isnt killing your cohort you receive this bonus?

This class really brings a refreshing counter to the Fist of Hextor. I never was fond of the fact that Wizards actually dedicated a group to Hextor and did not provide appropriate balance.
It's a well designed class. I especially am fond of the bonuses vs the Hextorians. A very fitting touch.
