    Magma grasp probably should have a somatic component you are right, although I do not nessecarily think it is over powered (vampiric touch can only be used once true, but VT does more damage with its one touch 10d6 comapred to 5d6+5d4 over two rounds, and VT has a signicifint advantage in that the damage you do is transfered to you as temporary HP. compared to another third level spell Fireball will do more damage to more creatures with a much greater range then a single touch, while you could touch the smae creature 6 times theoreticaly, I am not sure that I would want to be standing that close to something that can take damage like that if I am a wizard.
