Just curious if anyone knows anything about some the great web-sites out there that haven't been updated in years:
Anna's maps of Greyhawk - last post Dec 2008
Maldin's Greyhawk - last update Aug 2009
Illustrated Greyhawk - last posting unknown
grodog's Greyhawk - last posting unknown
I really like the stuff on them, but for some reason they've all pretty mcuh stopped. What news, great Canonfire! readers...... _________________ CN -- It makes firing into combat a whole lot more fun
Maldin and grodog have both been members of Canonfire! since the early days. While everyone wishes that every website out there was going full throttle 24/7, 365 1/2 days a year, life intrudes. Constantly. Maldin and grodog post to their sites sporadically so far as I know.
Maldin's most recent updated were on October of last year(something about Oerthblood and tree leaping rodents or some such) and in January of this year(an expansion to Greyhawk's Underdark). I can't recall the last thing grodog has posted, though that is probably because I don't recall an announcement of an update. I do know that grodog posts elsewhere, and that he is currently mucking about with other gaming-related things too. _________________ - Moderator/Admin (in some areas)/Member -

I speak with Maldin a couple of times a week. He's finishing final exams right now -- he's a college professor. He's been working on a few things for the website and is looking forward to getting back to it, as he gets more "free" time. So look for something soon.
Gordog's been busy as well, but told me he has a couple of irons in the fire too.
I can vouch that life sometimes gets in the way. I'm a lot busier than I was a few months ago and haven't finished a couple of pieces that I've been working on. Lately, I've been fighting the flu -- two weeks of it.
Well, I don't know if I would go that far. While it has been a while since Anna posted (eight months or so), she's still around.
She was very active in that period, and put several updates in, even though it may not be readily apparent by the file links themselves. Many of them have had a half dozen updates or more. Just last summer she posted an entirely new Onnwal map, here and on her website. Also, she's been expanding her maps far to the East, toward Nyrond, and Northeast toward the Griff mountains and the Thillonrian Peninsula. She'd mentioned some months aso that she was wanting to publish three or four maps this Winter, but life got a little occupying.
Like many of us, she's had a busy year and has been busy with her political career. So, she's not too far off the grid, she's just had a normal life and is still getting things done, just the fan-related stuff has to take a back burner for a little while.
There's a few of us that keep in touch with her personally, off these boards ... I'm certain that Anna will hear about how bad we'd like to have her around, and we might get to see a post or new file from her in the near future. _________________ Owner and Lead Admin: https://greyhawkonline.com<div>Editor-in-Chief of the Oerth Journal: https://greyhawkonline.com/oerthjournal</div><div>Visit my professional art gallery: https://wkristophnolen.daportfolio.com</div>
Hi all -
I think Anna also has ghmaps.net. But for other maps you can access the GreyhawkOnline collection at www.GreyhawkOnline.com/maps
Maldin is usually always active - sure he's a college professor, but it's in Canada, so it doesn't count. Grodog is always around doing something. He also has his company with Rob Kuntz.
Damn, life shouldn't be getting in the way. It should be that we could all game 24/7 as we please. Screw World Peace, that would be my wish.
Be Well. Be Well Wished.

Thanks for the interest, moss :D I'm around, but most of my posts recently have been doing housecleaning on bad links and such, as well as working on my revisions and expansions to my version of Castle Greyhawk: I realized while prepping for GaryCon 2 last month that I've created ~20 more levels and sub-levels in the past 15 months or so, so I'm going to sit down in earnest and do some re-rationalizing of my Castle over the rest of the year.
In terms of tracking what I've been doing, the main web site update date is always accurate, and I do log updates on my What's New page @ http://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/new.html (which I need to roll into 2010, it seems...). I've also been keeping a poorly-updated Castle Greyhawk design log update @ http://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/gh_castle_grodog.html#devlog (I haven't updated it in a year+, but I will eventually comb the contents from the K&K posts [see below] into it to make it current).
I can't recall the last thing grodog has posted, though that is probably because I don't recall an announcement of an update. I do know that grodog posts elsewhere, and that he is currently mucking about with other gaming-related things too.
I don't really make update announcements: most of my updates aren't really announcement worthy, per se. Working on publishing again has really sapped by posting time (well that, plus our two boys, and Ethan's now 6 and in Kindergarten and has homework we have to make sure he does, and all that).

Too many irons in the fire, as usual! I am in the midst of designing a special level for Castle GH that I'll run at North TX RPG Con in June, and I just ran two sessions in the Castle at GaryCon, too. And I'm doing a DCC Conversion for Black Blade (see below), and working on a book of dungeon design essays, and actually starting to sort through spare books to begin to sell them on eBay, and continuing my various lines of D&D and tourney and GH research, and.... You get the idea, I'm sure ;)

While I'm still good friends with Rob, and was very happy to see him in Lake Geneva a few weeks ago, I'm not really engaged with his Pied Piper Publishing much anymore (although I am still hoping to print his Lost City of the Elders, among many other projects!). I've been working with Jon Hershberger on our Black Blade Publishing venture since the beginning of last year, and we've published a number of Swords & Wizardry titles, including the main S&W rules, Knockspell Magazine (#4 just got back from the printer this week), and various others. Details @ http://www.black-blade-publishing.com/
That's about it for me, for now! I'll try to be a bit more proactive about communicating what I'm up to, if folks are that interested.[/url] _________________ Allan Grohe<br />https://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/greyhawk.html<br />https://grodog.blogspot.com/
Greetings! Yup, I'm still around, and as some of the old gang has said, I've had updates since August. For major updates, always check http://melkot.com/sitehistory.html to see what is new. I often tweak the site inbetween major updates. The biggest thing recently was my layered-pdf map of Greyhawk's Underdark. End of term always sees the evaporation of any spare time, but there is always several new things in the works for the website. A bit more on the Underdark page is like the next thing up, but other stuff partially completed include additions to the Spelljammer page, the City of Greyhawk section, and the Melkot section (haven't added anything new there in quite a while).

Loads of edition-independent Greyhawk goodnes... maps, magic, mysteries, mechanics, and more!
Hey, just FYI: I updated my web site. No new GH content, but I spent a few hours working on my updates and such, and thinking a bit about a wholesale redesign of the whole site, which has likely been needed since ~1999 or so ;) _________________ Allan Grohe<br />https://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/greyhawk.html<br />https://grodog.blogspot.com/
A meaningful update this time!: I linked in the many Castle Greyhawk maps that I've been creating since December 2008's watershed "The Landings Level" map. The maps are currently only linked in from the table-of-contents on that page, since I haven't culled the various notes about the maps and encounters from the threads on Knights & Knaves Alehouse's Megadungeons forum yet, but I will do so eventually. _________________ Allan Grohe<br />https://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/greyhawk.html<br />https://grodog.blogspot.com/
Sure, mort, always happy to help spread a little good news :D _________________ Allan Grohe<br />https://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/greyhawk.html<br />https://grodog.blogspot.com/
There has been a recent update to the Greyhawk's Underdark section of my website that people might be interested in. I'll post the details in my original Greyhawk's Underdark discussion thread just to keep things together.
And, in case folks missed it down in the Collector's Corner @ http://www.canonfire.com/cf/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=4279 there's been a significant Greyhawk content update on the Black Blade web site too :D _________________ Allan Grohe<br />https://www.greyhawkonline.com/grodog/greyhawk.html<br />https://grodog.blogspot.com/
Personally, I really enjoy visiting your site, Allan and go there fairly often. And I appreciate your efforts on all our behalves. Now, if I could just come up with some money!
