A Monk player character in my Greyhawk game may choose to worship Zuoken. However, Zuoken is imprisoned beneath Castle Greyhawk from 505-597 CY. Shouldn't be a big deal though. However, while looking at the Greyhawk Wiki I noticed it mentions a thing called the Orb of Gerendelik.
From the Greyhawk Wiki:
Quote: |
Zuoken's followers are almost always monks or psionicists, and the most powerful are both. The god sends his followers into the world to improve themselves and advance the cause of psionics (known as Edel, the Gift of Fate, in the Baklunish tongue). They may rescue psionic families from their superstitious neighbors, hunt down illithids, or search for psionic artifacts such as the Orb of Gerendelik. |

I can't seem to find anything about the Orb. What is it?

Did you check the source books in the bibliography, by chance?

Expanded Psionic Handbook (D&D 3.5), page 222:

Quests: Zuoken sends his followers into the world to improve themselves and advance the cause of psionics. Typical missions include rescuing a psionic family from superstitious villagers, hunting down a mind flayer assassin with a taste for psion brains, and finding a longlost psionic artifact known as the Orb of Gerendelik. |

It's just a throw-away reference. You'll have to invent your own details.

Just when I thought I've heard of every esoterical GH reference there is...a post like this pops up! Good thread, Mouse and have fun with the designing of the Orb. Throw away references are the clay of CF writers ya know.

I wonder if Mouse ever developed a homebrew version of the Orb of Gerendelik.
I would be very interested.
