Quick rules query regarding the Ring of Animal Friendship;
i) Does the ability requiring animals to make a save to either avoid the wearer or follow him docilely continue to occurr after the ring has befriended 12HD of animals?
ii) I get the impression that the ring in effect befriends the first 12HD of animals that the wearer encounters that fail their saving throw. So it's kind of pot luck, is that the case?
iii) Once 12HD of animals have been befriended does the wearer have to wait for one of the animals to die before he can befriend further animals or is it possible to 'dismiss' the animals. Will removing the ring 're-set' the befriended animals?
iii) once a charge is expended will that animal always guard and protect the wearer or does he have to expend a charge every time he wishes such protection?
The ring can often seem as much a pain in the rear as a blessing I think!
