Multiple Divinations At Once

Situation:
A spell-caster (priest or mage) or creature with spell-like (innate) abilities has more than one Detection spell running simultaneously (Ex: Detect Magic, Detect Invisibility, Find Traps, etc.).
Question:
Does this individual have to shift from one Detection spell to another...OR... do these spells overlap, permitting the caster (creature) to sift and sort through their effects without going back and forth from one to the next?
I hope that was clear.

I can think of no valid logical reason, nor any rule preventing the caster from being able to discern perfectly between the effects of the various detection spells he has in effect - even if they were from different sources (e.g. spell, innate ability, item).

There is no "shifting". Any number of divination spells will function simultaneously. _________________ - Moderator/Admin (in some areas)/Member -

Thanks, guys. I was just wondering how that would 'work' given a potential magical overload to the caster's "senses" but perhaps the magic of the spell (or effect) permits this without any confusion to the recipient.
much appreciated,

Well, we can see, hear, feel, smell and taste a hamburger all at the same time without being overwhelmed by our senses. I imagine being able to detect/sense magical emanations, invisible objects, hidden traps, alignments, etc. all at the same time via magical means wouldn't be any more difficult.

Good analogy except that most of these divinations are visual effects, although I get your drift and think it makes sense.
