Are you going to have a player roll for stats and create a barbarian character per UNEARTHED ARCANA and start the PC at level 1? Or will you be creating a Conan/Conan-like NPC? Maybe those stats in those other products don't matter much if a player is going to try being Conan.

No, I don't think so. I don't have UNEARTHED ARCANA 1e, so I can't say. I have the Conan d20 rulebook. I might replace the D&D d20 Barbarian class with that class out of the Conan d20 rulebook.
