A new ethnicity. Fantasy gets boring when every new mystery and horizon leads back to previous sources.
One thing that strikes me about Greyhawk's Spelljammer canon is that much of Greyspace has expats from Oerth, but Oerth doesn't have settlers from Greyspace.
With this in mind, Lynn makes a good home for some neighbors from the crystal sphere.
According to Abenteuer #7, the Mirrormasters can communicate vast distances and use mirrors to travel through the plane of shadow. Maybe the humans of Lynn originated from Ginsel or Spectre via ship, but mass migrated through their Mirrormasters.
In FFE's Rings of Power, Jim Ward writes much about a "City of Dragonkind" and notes that Drawmij established himself there (77). IMO, the best place for the City of Dragonkind is Lynn. Being a native could help explain Drawmij 's strange appearance and use of disguise. It could also help justify his enmity with the Mage of the Vale. If Drawmij is a Mirror Master and active on the plane of shadow, Jaran's study of that place and efforts to become a shade could put them in conflict.
