From “Quick Install” to Setup Marathon: When Every Microsoft

I thought setting up Microsoft software would take just a few minutes, but it quickly turned into a long series of decisions and second-guessing. Every checkbox seemed important, and the more I tried to be careful, the more uncertain I felt about each step. Instead of moving smoothly through the setup, I found myself pausing to review options I barely understood.
At some point, I realized that not every setting required deep analysis. Shifting focus to the choices that actually impact performance and usability made the rest of the process feel far less overwhelming. Once I stopped overthinking every detail, the installation moved forward naturally — and in the end, everything worked just fine.
Has anyone else experienced this kind of setup fatigue, where a simple install starts to feel way more complicated than it should?
