Issue #2 of the Greyhawk Journal is now available.
My thanks to the authors, the staff, and our patient fans.
I hope everyone enjoys reading the articles as much as I did.
Featuring:
The Strait of Ahnzhu: Anzhu’s Odyssey by Troy “Cannibaal” Alleman takes us outside the Flanaess to the southern seas beyond the Densac Gulf. Read about the dramatic voyage of exploration that opened these lands to the traders, explorers, and adventurers of the Flanaess.
Ethnography of Greyhawk: The Ogre Mage, Revisited by Roger E. Moore brings a new playable race to the Flanaess. Normally just another monster from a distant land, Roger weaves the existing background fully into the framework of Oerth and transforms it into a new challenge for players. This also marks the establishment of a formal column for new and expanded races suitable for play in the Flanaess.
Inhabitants and Artifacts of the Floating Star Rock b Brian “Doctor Necrotic” Rubinfield presents additional material for the followers of Murlynd operating in Greyspace, the Spelljammer crystal sphere of Oerth. This is a crossover with Wildspace, a zine dedicated to Spelljammer, staffed by friends of the Greyhawk Journal, and sharing several authors. AD&D stats.
Neapolitan Pholtans by Samuel “Samwise” Weiss looks at the curious case of the Lawful Evil Pholtans of Dimre in the western Bandit Kingdoms. Discover how it contrasts with the Lawful Neutral cult in the Pale and the Lawful Good sect in Nyrond.
Henway’s Magnificent Menagerie: The Kna and the Masher by Troy “Cannibaal” Alleman updates two creatures originally from BECMI Mystara, updating them to AD&D and 5E (2014) and Greyhawk.
Another Adventure: Raid in the Wastes by Curtis Fernlund is a short story of a group of heroes adventuring in Stonehold. Curtis has written superhero and pulp fiction and now turns his pen to the Flanaess.
Malaketh’s Seven Codices of Arcana and Mysteria: Two Greyhawk Artifacts For Your Campaign by Ed Greenwood and Jay L. Scott presents a pair of items featured on Lord Gosumba’s Twitch show. Ed presents and artifact first mentioned by Carl Sargent while Jay showcases an item from his long running and ongoing Altamira campaign. AD&D stats.
Demographics Within the Flanaess by Richard “Lord Bresin” DiIoia looks at the complicated subject of just how many people of what age are running around the Flanaess. His tables are perfect for deep dives into worldbuilding. AD&D 1E ages.
The Serpent Slayers of Chull by Eric Bailey with additional material by Rick “Duicarthan” Miller returns to the city of Chull featured in the Grey Grimoire and presents the heroes of that city who saved it from a yuan-ti menace. Stats for 5E (2014).

Our next issue will be a special that does not merely go beyond the Flanaess, but beyond the Oerth itself in a way that Spelljammer or Planescape do not cover. Be ready!
The Greyhawk Journal is a fanzine dedicated to the World of Greyhawk, one of the oldest published settings for fantasy role-playing games, a milieu that grew up with the original Dungeons & Dragons© system, and the campaigns and adventures of Gary Gygax, Dave Arneson, Len Lakofka, Rob Kuntz, and other pioneers of tabletop RPGs.
This project is entirely non-commercial. The Greyhawk Journal in no way represents a challenge to the copyright, trademarks, or intellectual property rights of Wizards of the Coast, the owners of Dungeons and Dragons and the World of Greyhawk.
