How many characters are there, and what are their class(es) and levels? Give us a little info and I'm sure somebody will offer a suggestion. Happy

Dungeon #53 has "A Serenade Before Supper" (GREYHAK LVL 3-5) a short GH adventure set near Verbobonc. It's more a side-trek than a full adventure, but i've always wanted to run this. It's basically an encounter with a Wolfwere at an inn.

Dungeon #91
- The Legend of Garthulga (Greyhawk; Tim Hitchcock; 1-7 (1))
This short, clever mystery-adventure occurs along the edge of the Gnarley Forest near the River Selintan, in a trading post run by a gnome, terrorized by an elven legend (or, more properly, his own dire boar stolen by a trio of scheming halflings).

One of the adventures from WG08 Fate of Istus: "Iuz's Gambit" takes place in Verbobonc (levels 1 to 10).

In the City of Greyhawk Boxed Set there's CG21 Verbeeg of the Gnarley Forest an Adventure Card for levels 5 to 7 set in the Gnarley Forest.

From the Ashes has two adventure cards set in the Gnarley:
FTA5 Tamara Belongs to Me The Gnarley Forest Adventure Card 2 to 4
FTA6 Dark Heart of Oak The Gnarley Forest Adventure Card 6 to 8

See this link for an index to Greyhawk material in Dungeon magazine. Here is an index to 1E and 2E Dungeon adventures.
And here are the locations for all Greyhawk modules. (Search for Verbobonc, Gnarley, Iron Wood or Welkwood or Kron Hills)

Might be a little late, but Slavers could be somewhat modified to your current area.

no late at all :)

well, now they are level 6, but anyway.

they just defeated a great band of hobgoblins (about 20 or so), who were attacking farmers for food, gold and slaves.

maybe then i can link with the slavers :D

What year is your game set in? If its set close to or after the Wars that area could easily have rovers or inflitration units loyal to Iuz they could stumble into.

I'd slap them silly with units for Iuz in that area then, have them stumble into an encampment waiting on orders from Iuz and save the day makeing them heros in the area and inviteing further response from Iuz.

Hello,

Some of the best adventures are those spawned by creative DMs infused with ideas from a variety of sources: modules, other players/DMs, movie inspirations, books, and the like. Of course, it never hurts to ask your players for their input (I am more of a democratic DM now than in my earlier years and like to bounce things off my players), and perhaps let an adventure evolve from that (more the players driving the story than perhaps the other way around). In the meantime, I am sure other posts will give you boundless adventure ideas (ie modules).

Cold iron avail thee,

Be sure to keep in mind the thread/post dates before posting replies, as I'm pretty sure that the 5th level adventure ideas requested by the OP in 2009 are most likely no longer needed. Wink
