Good read Mort
As for who's next.... may be Rich Baker? Would be cool to get his feel on where the industry has been / going since he has been in it (20+ yrs and just got axed by WOC) and seems like he did an article years back on" returning to the planes of hell"? Would be cool to get an inside scoop on that as well.
Just 2 coppers worth.
Keep 'em coming.

Xaris, warlock: Thanks a ton. I was very jazzed to get Ward to respond when I've already been shunned by a few 'lesser' luminaries already. Oh well, try try again.

Galen: Rich Baker never struck me as a Greyhawk person. I'll have to look into it. Good reccomend at any rate.

Mort, True Rich's feet are primarily planted in Forgotten Realms, but seems I recall reading some where early in his career he had some involvement with articles around the nine planes and discussions around a "greyhawk players guide" somewhere around 2003?
On a broader note, just I would think with his long exposure to Roleplaying and the industry he might give us an insight on where the game has been/is/going... not "confined" to just the power of the ring.

Rich Baker does have a "Creative Director" credit in the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer. Not sure what that credit implies as to involvement in the project, or Greyhawk in general, but there are a few folks who might know(Erik, Gary, SKR, etc.). Wouldn't hurt to drop Rich a line.

Just as a follow up to earlier post and Big C's as well, At least one of Rich's "credits" may be in the revised version of S1 Tomb of Horrors for 3.5... I was preparing it for my campaign and just happen to notice his (and others listed) under "new addition game design"? may be its related to that?
A 3E/3.5E Guide to the World of Greyhawk: An Annotated Bibliography
*Baker, Richard. Complete Arcane. Renton, WA: Wizards of the Coast, 2004.
This sourcebook contains the Suel Arcanamach prestige class, which discusses the powerful arcane magic of the ancient Suel Empire. This work also has a sidebar on Tarth Moorda, a warmage college commissioned by Duke Karl of Urnst, and hidden away in the Abbor-Alz hills.
*Baker, Richard, James Jacobs, and Steve Winter. Lords of Madness: The Book of Aberrations. Renton, WA: Wizards of the Coast, 2005.
Just a thought
