A Hole in Bucknard's Everfull Purse

Last year, while introducing my sons to greyhawk, I discovered an error in my DMG. I had cooked up a little adventure and placed this magical poke in the hands of a gambling npc, Roggi. When his luck ran out he cleared his massive debt to my son's character by giving him this purse, explaining how it worked. I consulted my DMG pg163 and discovered the entry there to be incomplete.

Nothing followed. I whipped up an answer (1-100sp or 1-20gp depending on what coins are left inside) each day. I am curious what the choices should be. Would greatly appreciate the correct chart.

Consult the 1e DMG on page 140. It has the information you seek... Wink

Let me know if you don't have this tome and I will reconstruct the chart.

alas, I've left many books behind in my rambling life and now find myself lacking said treatise. Your fine scribery would be greatly appreciated master Lanthorn, and serve to quench my curiosity.

Done! Happy

01-50: 26 sp 26 ep 26 gp
51-90: 26 cp 26 ep 26 pp
91-00: 26 cp 26 ep 26 gems (10 gp base with an increase up to 100 gp total only)

Once the abilities of the bag are determined, it cannot change.

Is there anything else you require?

I've been called a lot of different things in my day, but never a beer! Laughing Just so long as it's a microbrew, I'm 'cool' with it. Happy

Happy to be of service, friend.

Enjoy your draught.

-Lanthorn, NOT a "Light" Beer (though I do like a hefeweizen)
