Greyhawk Adventures: Horror in Greyhawk
Roger Moore, in his days before taking over the Greyhawk line, talks about the use of Horror in the World of Greyhawk. An excellent piece for any DM looking to try a different style of campaign or adventure.
Koravia
Taking an undeveloped, unclaimed area of the Crystalmists, QSamantha has created a mountain kingdom in this remote portion of the world, and presents it here for others to use. It was designed to better mix the elements and feel of Ravenloft with the World of Greyhawk.
A number of important NPC's, including some of the darklords of this new realm, are detailed, with descriptions and histories. Also included are notes on some of the surrounding areas, including the city of Hochoch.
A Plague Years Campaign: The Godwalkers
Written to be used with the Plague Years campaign setup fround in the Best of Greyhawk, Volume 3, this piece by Aria13 (with comments afterwards by Iquander) presents the idea of gods being driven mad by lack of worshippers and roaming the Oerth itself. Some of the ideas found within this piece can be used in almost any campaign to stir things up more than a little bit.
Prisoners of Zagig
This article has appeared on Canonfire! in the past, and can be found at The Final Word on Iuz and Company, written by one Erik Mona (aka Iquander).
Pantheons of the Flanaess: The Scarlet Gods
A treatisie written by Lefto, with some comments by Iquander at the end, on the Scarlet Brotherhood and it's religious beliefs, centering on the gods Pyremius, Syrul, and the ever-popular Tharzidun. Some mention is made of the tactics used by the Scarlet Brothers in their attempt to dominate the lands around them. Although written prior to The Scarlet Brotherhood, this piece can still have much value in a Greyhawk campaign.
The Good Oerth: The Continent of Hepmonaland
A look at the lands of Hepmonaland by one Roger Moore, in his days before writing for Greyhawk. Although it was written prior to the publishing of The Scarlet Brotherhood, some of the ideas contained within can clearly be seen to have been adopted by Sean K. Reynolds for use in his work on the southern lands of the Flanaess and the lands just beyond. Certainly, anyone looking to delve beyond the confines of the Flanaess could benefit from the information in this short posting.
