Does the 4 Part Dungeon Map Change Your Game?

I just got the last Greyhawk map quadrant today, completing the set. As I look at the whole, I am very impressed with Erik Mona's work to see this produced. I think it is a great job and the first worthy successor map to Darlene's. I can't help but notice, however, that a number of areas are now quite "crowded." For example, the County of Urnst has 25 locations as I count them. There are other more subtle changes as well.

I am wondering, will the Dungeon map have any impact or effect on your game?

I think it will on mine but I don't think I can say what it will be just yet.

I'm curious about everyone's opinion on whether the Dungeon map will be more than just something to go up on your wall.

Most of the crowding comes from Sargent era sources. I am grateful now that I can retire some of my worn out maps and use these in their place Happy

Will have a small effect, although my campaign is set in late 582 CY, so it's technically not an accurate map of the Flanaess, for me. Still, kind of cool to see places like The Lost Caverns, White Plume, and the ToEE on such a 'formal' map...

Well, since my next campaign will be set in the County, I'd say it will help me a lot. Wink

As soon as I can find the map in a gaming store... Mad

I've only got the first three sections of the map, but so far the minor differences between this new version and the older Darlene version are stacking up. I'm gonna be sticking with the older version for my official map, but I'll use the new one for inspiration and minor details.
