    Iuz and Hextor relations?

Any ideas on how followers of Iuz and Hextor or the dieties themselves may get along?
    Thanks,

My guess (and I should stress that it is no more than that) would be "badly". Iuz is far too chaotic to have much in common with the orderly Hextor. The followers of Old Wicked might have won some brownie points in Hextorite books by destroying the Knights of the Holy Shielding, but that would be about the limit of mutual amity (and the fact that it was the followers of the Old One who got to stomp on paladins and not them may actually have made the Hextorites aggrieved rather than grateful).

Depends, in short-range terms followers of both of them may get along, though their relationship may be quite harsh, cynical and sarcastic.

Perhaps one of Hextor priests, searching for a way to destroy a champion of good, may ally with a arcanist follower of Iuz, who wants a magical item of some sort the champion has.

But, as I said, a relationship of this sort will be quite short ranged.

I recall reading the list of Iuz' enemies recently (either in Player's Guide to Greyhawk® or Living Greyhawk® Gazetteer), and it was basically "all other nations" and "all other deities." Given that, I'd be inclined to say that Hextor and his priests aren't too chummy with Iuz and his (although I'm sure they'd cooperate with anyone if it were expedient).

Hmm, problably you reminded the list of enemies of the Empire of Iuz entry on the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer, which is very long and has "any other faction or nation of the Flanaess" on the end of it Laughing

Seeing as the minions of both Iuz and Hextor are on opposite sides of the Blood War(if it exists in your campaign) they probably would not get on very well. Any level of cooperation among the two would cause any of their respective allies in the Abyss and 9 Hells to be even more wary of subterfuge and betrayal.

Iuz and Hextor are as water and oil to each other.
