Did a quick read, its something I could use, would most likely redo some of the classes though, but that's just me. I am a big fan of Tharizdun, always have been. _________________ Eileen of Greyhawk, Prophet of Istus, Messenger of the Gods
New very minor article "Shadow of Shothragut" referencing a fragment of Tharizdun at Wizard's regarding a prophet.
I like the Return to he Temple of Elemental Evil tie-in. No mention of vampire Thrommel, though. But, as mentioned, Giorge and gang did not make it to the Temple of All Consumption's fanes.
I like the use of the paladin of slaughter and mortal hunter rules. Paladinn of slaughter seems more like something out of Erythnul's camp. But, I guess was not time to update the doomdreamer prestige class for poor old Giorge.
The article says that Shothragot is a severed "fragment of Tharizdun's personality". Sounds like something that should've been in the Black Spire, or at least laired somewhere in the Outer Fane. Maybe it was, and it just went out for swims in the crater lake, exploring underwater fissures in Mount Stalagos - thus "running" into Giorge. I like the idea of Shothragot having been summoned or created, perhaps by accident, by the Triad in their efforts to free the Dark God.
Perhaps the authors make a better connection between Shothragot and the Temple of All Consumption in Elder Evils.
I like to think of the fragment as being similar to an "Aspect" several source books have them now but the Minatures Hand Book has the most from Greyhawk to my knowledge. Separated from an imprisoned Tharizdun that Aspect and fragment wouldn't be able to return.
