    Wraithkeep

I'm doing a bunch of work on the are surrounding the Rift Crag (more on that later and on my blog) but I've found a reference to a castle between the eastern tip of the Rift and the Artonsamay River called "Wraithkeep".

I can't seem to find any references to it in the canonical sources, "Iuz the Evil" included (other than it's inclusion on the map). Is it something that was featured in Dungeon at some time? Am I just missing the entry in ItE? I've seen a couple of references to it online which look like Living Greyhawk material, but other than that I can't seem to find anything.

Where did this Wraithkeep originate, and where can I find more info? I feel like this is something that I should know...

    Thanks in advance,

    Joe

I don't think I've ever seen anything cannon on it. I know that it was featured in a Living Greyhawk scenario (URC8-I02) in which forces of the County of Urnst attacked it.

LG scenarios are hard to get a hold of unless you live in the area that controls that area. I live near there and we had several gamers from our area go play the scenario at a convention. The talk about the scenario can be seen Here

I suspected it was a LG creation. I wonder how it made it into ItE, though.

It's mentioned in Iuz the Evil on pages 77 and 81. Page 81 summarizes the troops stationed there.

And Dungeon #133 mentions Wraithkeep on page 61, saying a blue dragon called Vermirox lairs in a cavern beneath it.

LG went back in time to 2nd Edition and sneeked it in there. Laughing

Iuz the Evil predates the Living Greyhawk Campaign by 7 years, and Wraithkeep is not an LG creation. Wink

Hey Thulcondar, nothing says you can not create your own "Wraithkeep" and Greyhawk it! Stay original and make it your footprint within the Realms of Greyhawk!
