    Delcomben

Iuz the Evil mentions that the keep at Delcomben in the former Shield Lands is inhabited by a balor demon, its demonic cronies, and beholders. The demon does not interact with the rotating garrisons stationed at the village, and no one knows what it is up to. The Free Reavers of the former Horned Society have been seen entering the keep. Deep, bass grinding noises are also heard from the keep at night. I read in a LG Shield Lands gazetteer that Delcomben was once the center of worship for St. Cuthbert in the Flaeness, iirc.

Was there ever anything published on this keep from the Living Greyhawk days? I'm curious as to what the source of the grinding noise is.

I don't have any LG material on the Shield Lands other than a short document put out by the triad. The only mention of Delcomben is that it is in the area where Halmadar the Cruel arose. That could be something for you to work with.
