    NPC Chronicling for GH

    NPC Chronicling
Herein we shall chronicle NPC’s of Greyhawk from all the various sources. For timesake, we’re going to skip the Living Greyhawk material, except the Living Greyhawk Gazatteer and the Living Greyhawk Journals.
Also all Dungeon and Dragon magazines will be included for anyone wishing to take on that endeavor.

NPC’s chronicled must include the following.
Name; Alignment; Race/ Class/ Level; Source (ex Dungeon Magazine 112, pg 70)

    What becomes of this data?
Once all of this data is compiled we will be making a special Canonfire and OJ joint download of the data for reference purposes. Anyone wishing to post any information need only state what source they are going to post and either post it here in this thread or via email to oerthjournal (AT) gmail (dot) com.

    Thanks in advance.

Sounds interesting. By chronicling, I understand you to mean we should start with the published text and then add to it. Is that right?

Also, the Manic Midwife once had exactly such a project, iirc. Perhaps he could post a description of it. As I recall, Russ had built a substantial database, comparable to Jason Zavoda's famous index, but with additional text describing the characters...

I've got copies of those files around somewhere, though I'm sure Russ' current versions supercede them....

Did anything become of this thread? Any such list ever made? If so what information is on it and where can it be found?

Rick did eventually get around to constructing his own list, which can be found here: http://www.greyhawkonline.com/duicarthan/npcz.html

It's not complete by any stretch of the imagination, but it's an excellent resource nonetheless. Also, check out Rick's other projects at Daemonite Productions.
