Changelings

Dark fey from where the Plane of Shadow borders Sterich have secretly abducted the twin sons (18 years old) of a retired PC in my campaign and replaced them with changelings.

I don't have any mechanical representation of what these changelings actually are at the moment and was curious what versions the folks on this board know about or would recommend using.

The vibe I'm going for is that these changelings are exact physical duplicates of the boys but a little . . . off . . . or odd to those who know them well.

Yes, I could just use doppelgänger stats or assume they're simulacrums, but I was wondering what other changeling versions were available, especially in the spooky fey category.

You may like the playable race version of the changling. You can find it in the Dwellers in Dream supplement for Pathfinder, by Total Party Kill Games.
