Origin of Eclavdra's name

Does anyone know if EGG ever revealed the origins of Eclavdra's name?
I haven't seen it discussed anywhere, and Grodog doesn't even have it on his list of Anagrams, Puns, and Homages.
While re-reading Sea of Death, I noticed that it's kind of an odd name, that doesn't really roll off the tongue, so I suspected it to be another of EGG's word scrambles.
Looking closer, "Eclavdra" has most of the same letters as "Dracula," but with a superfluous "e," and a "v" instead of a "u."
Given that "v" and "u" evolved from the same letter, it seems feasible to me that one of EGG's greatest villains may have taken her name from literature's most famous vampire. That extra "e" may have either been added just to mix it up, or maybe he took it from "draculae," as in "Desmodus draculae," the massive extinct vampire bat of Central and South America.
Anyone know for sure?

You might well be on to something with the "Dracula" connection, but I believe Desmodus draculae wasn't officially named until 1988.

Well, there was a dinosaur discovered in Romania in 1975 called Bradycneme draculae, so that's also a possibility. Then again, I'm not such EGG regularly perused paleontology journals, either.

Well, ECLAVDRA includes VLAD (Dracula's actual name).
Maybe Vlad Race?

Perhaps it's a feminine form of Eclavdro, which is an anagram for "cave lord."
It's also a near-anagram for caldera.
