Asberdies - Former Lich Tyrant of the Yeomanry

Some notes on Asberdies posted by Gary Holian on Greytalk Discord I am putting on here for posterity just in case:
Asberdies was a Suel, the son of an apprentice of Slerotin, who along with the rest of the Suel House Malhel (generally accorded as the evilest and most ambitious tribe of Suloise to cross the Lost Passage) stole magic and artifacts from the Old Imperium and the ruins of Vecna's Realm and created a domain in the Dreadwood. Legends hold they were the first to use the infamous Hand and Eye. But so great was their ambition that they dealt with aberrations, long lost beings from the Far Realms, whom the Malhel treated as powerful, rational, interlocutors. They hoped to win the eldritch might needed to make themselves Mages of Power like their ancestors. This was their great mistake and precipitated their calamitous fall. Asberdies was one of the few survivors of Valadis and he moved west and used his great sorcery to dominate the people of the Yeomanry for decades. Eventually he revealed himself as a lich and the people began to lose hope of ever freeing themselves from his grasp. But eventually they found the courage to overthrow him and Asberdies was exiled to the night below, where his final fate was never recorded.

I the campaign journals section I post on a 5e game I am running in Greyhawk. At one point the party was exploring a tower in the Yeomanry formerly belonging to Nholast the Unforgiven, apprentice to Asberdies.

    In http://www.canonfire.com/cf/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=8700&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=100 I make reference to Asberdies in posts 104, 114, 115, 116, 121, and 124.
