Postfest XIII(Brewfest 2009): Greyhawk Villains & Foils!

Postfest XIII(Brewfest 2009): Greyhawk Villains & Foils! has now ended.

First, we have a recap of the original Postfest XI(Growfest 2009) announcement:

Welcome to Postfest XIII(Brewfest 2009): Greyhawk Villains & Foils!

The topic of this Postfest will center all of the despicable characters that populate the World of Greyhawk, from the lowliest gang tough to the most despicable of rulers– all villains are on the table here! While it is not a hard and fast rule, it is recommend that you cover a Greyhawk Villain that has not been covered before, or that has been covered very little. Better still, introduce a new villain of your own! Please post what you will be writing about in this thread. Duplicate topics are okay but we would like to keep it to a minimum.

Now, on to the format. Your submission should be in the realm of 1,000-4,000 words or so in length. That is not set in stone, but it is a good average length for any Article. As usual, be sure to not only Spell Check your article but read it over yourself, as Spell Check will catch many things, but not always everything.

You may submit your article HERE. Be sure to write a short introductory teaser for your article and be sure to cite any sources you may have used as well. ***See the directions at the top of the Submissions page if you have any problems with the text not being accepted(this may happen if you use Internet Explorer). Even if the text is not accepted, *you must still submit your article title on the Submissions page*. When e-mailing an article to editors<at>canonfire<dot>com, be sure that your article is in simple Word form, with no formatting of any sort if possible(the simpler the better). This just makes things a whole lot easier for us to deal with, so please take the time to do this.

Make sure you put the title of your submission in the following format:

Postfest XIII(Brewfest 2009): TITLE OF YOUR ARTICLE

***Submissions are due by December 31st, the last day before Needfest begins.

“Our band was on the trail of a coward thief hiding near a wooded lake when we came upon the hovel of a strange old hermit. Before we had a chance to question him, he began to threaten us! He told us that we should leave the woods before night fall or else forfeit our lives. Of course we ignored the fool. We couldn’t turn back now for the Orakhan would have our hides instead. The hermit wouldn’t speak anymore even after we sacked his home searching for the thief. He just stared and smiled. Then our dogs picked up a new scent so we set off into the woods once again just as the sun was setting and an ill wind began to blow across the mesa. What happened over the next several hours was a nightmare. If only we had known the legend of the Haunt of Gol Usan; the old hermit was trying to warn us.”
