does anyone know of a good village/town/city map generator?

I am just wondering if such a thing exists. I want to include settlement maps in my gazatteer but i would like to know if there is a settlement generator before i start making the many town/village/hamlet/thorp maps.

This is an old school style dungeon generator.

Glad I could be of help. Unfortunately I don't know of any sites that allow you to generate maps, but you may want to check this place out:

Just a quick google on "generate random dungeons" came up with these, among others:

Not so far as I know, so the best City/Town/etc. map generator is a pencil and paper.

At least there are some useful links being posted(even if they do not address your request).

Obviously not as many random map generators as random dungeon generators out there.

    This one

    looks promising. Here's a screenshot:

Kudos to Mempter on finding those generator sites.

Qwerty, your best bet may to search the net for existing maps and modify them for your own use.

I've found the 'Roleplaying City Map Generator 5.40' useful to quickly pop out maps.

Do a search and you will find a number of site to download it from. Abandonware is my understanding, creators website is now a web games portal so no support available.

Hmm, does anyone know why the screenshot I posted was replaced by the graphic suggesting people visit the website? Confused
