I Googled for "verbobonc city map" under Images. I followed the link to: http://erronis.net/leofrinne/verbobonc.htm

The homepage is gone so there's no more info.

Saludos!

The image is originally from the book "Barmi: A Mediterranean City Through The Ages" by Xavier Hernandez. He did a whole series of books showing the development of different fictional cities through the ages. Really good 3-d view maps for use in GH. I used one of the drawings from his "Lebek : A City of Northern Europe Through The Ages" for Port Elredd in my previous Wild Coast campaign.

Edit The only problem with using this map for Verbobonc is that the river can't be the Velverdyva because it's navigable by ships past Verbobonc and the falls just past this city's citadel would put a crimp in any plans to take those cogs on the waterfront upriver. You could probably Photoshop those falls out though.

Thanks smillan_31 for the input! It'll be a lot easier if anyone using other's art gave the proper credit. :D

Yes, that's what I used for Verbobonc when I created my supplement. Very good book, which I found while wandering the stacks at University of New Mexico. When I saw that city, I thought, "Hey, that's Verbobonc!"

Yes, that river doesn't work for the Velverdyva. That's why I invented the Nigb's Run, which flows through the central Viscounty, passed Verbobonc, and into the Velverdyva. The Velverdyva would thus be just off that map, to the bottom-left.

I think at the time I did this, there was not yet a Fate of Istus, which added quite a bit to the Verbobonc canon. In fact, I think T1-4 was the only thing that really touched on it at the time.

once i obtained the fate of istus i had to rethink my version of verbobonc. It really doesn't make sense for any river to run through a walled city. Otoh the details of that version of Verbobonc are great so i am merging the two versions. I am using the map from the fate of istus. converting it to a larger map. much larger. The graph paper has 24 by 35 25mm squares. its gonna take about 6 sheets when its done.

All of the places named in fate of istus are in the other version of verbobonc with lots of room to use all of the detailed places.

By coincidence...

I had used that same map for Hexpools, from the same book, without even realizing it was the same map borrowed for Verbobonc online.
