Hello, all!
My first exposure to D&D was this article (the original printed version):
http://bobschwabach.wordpress.com/2010/03/28/leaping-lizards-who-let-the-dragon-out/
It featured this image:
I remember both as if it were yesterday (although I was only 8 years old) since it grabbed my attention and never let go.
I had that picture taped to the inside of a binder for 20 years after its printing.
I couldn't wait until I was old enough to play it.
Eventually I started gaming in 1984 with friends in Philadelphia, PA (USA) a little older than I.
We used the Expert set - and we played it ½ wrong but it was a blast.
Eventually I moved onto AD&D and WoG and stayed with that.
I fell out of gaming for a decade or so from my early 20's (playing in bands & girls).
I came back a little after 3rd ed - infrequently but seriously - since I really liked (overall) what they did with it.
I confess, the only thing I've been a "rabid fanboy" for is the WoG (since it got me through a rough childhood).
So I found my way here.
Yes, I'm the guy that will talk about any facet of it, any time.
Cheers! |

I look forward to it.
I'll probably be the guy that, when they see my icon, everyone rolls their eyes and says:
"This guy again!"

I apprecitate the kind words; thanks.
I looked over the greytalk chat FAQ and I'll certainly give it a shot. _________________ Quoted material has been reproduced in this post without express permission for the purposes of discussion, comment and review as permitted by Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Act of 1976.

Nothing beats a graphic from the original Monster Manual!
I will prepare a Blessed crossbow bolt, just in case...

Drassus,
It was good to have you aboard for greytalk Thursday. Its a great place to just talk about greytalk and other things as well. Keep on the borderlands was the main topic and Sir Xaris provided much content on his experience with the module.
P.S> Lanthorn slow down your catching up to me in posts!

"Once I was but the learner, now I am the Master..."
Hey, Argon, you told me to stop being a 'lurker,' after all. No worries, friend, as I doubt that I can ever eclipse your Powers in the ways of Canonfire! You've got deep roots in this community. I've still got a long way to go...

I had a blast.
And I really want the image I came up with of the owlbear with the wooden sign hung around his neck that says:
FREE HUGS

My gaming buddy from High School and his wife have an online shop where they produce exactly that kind of product. Tanglethorne is the name. If you are willing, I can get you in touch with him personally to pitch the idea. I think it is a great one and you should get the credit.
Here's a link to their website: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tanglethorne.

Unfortunately I do not have a website as of yet. I need to have someone run it for me day job and all. That is the direction I am going in right now I am working with a small group of artists who need to get it together. Working out the details is the hardest part. Though I will have a way to request personalized requests for my customers. I have existed through mail order and word of mouth for years.
