Jack the Giant Killer

Interested in seeing this movie, only two weeks out. I don't intend to hold it to the same high standard of 'the Hobbit' but still hoping for a good movie all the same.

How many of you are going?

What do you know about it? I don't mind spoilers, personally, as it only whets my palate, but others may, so add a "Spoiler Alert" heading if you share some juicy tidbits (hoping for some, to be honest).

It does look like a fun movie. I'd like to see it along with Hansel and Grettle, Witch Hunters, but don't expect to have the opportunity to see them on the big screen.

I'm making a prediction that after watching "Jack the Giant Killer" that a lot of us are going to want to run an "Against the Giants" campaign!!! Happy

Definitely interested in seeing it. I'm not expecting much, but it should be good for an afternoon.

I've seen two different trailers for it. One made me think, "Yeah, I might want to see that." The other got the, "Man, there is no way I will ever watch that piece of crap." I'll have to see, but then I didn't think I would like Snow White and the Huntsman.

Saw it and think it's a fun film to watch. I give it a C+/B- rating. Anyone else?

I saw it yesterday with my daughter. I thought it was pretty good; the effects were amazing, and someone went to a lot of trouble with the production design. Everything looked appropriately fairy-talish, but also had a lived in quality that I really liked. I probably won't be buying the DVD, but I'd certainly watch it again when it comes on cable. Worth seeing in the theater, but don't waste your money on Imax or 3D.
