One of the founders of our hobby and one of the most unsung contributors to Dungeons & Dragons, Len Lakofka has passed away at the age of 76.
Along with the many adventures, classes, spells, and rules he created, Len was also father of the Suel in Greyhawk, designer of their gods, and namesake of the Lendore Isles.
The value of his work goes without saying, but his presence will be sorely missed. The adventures of Leomund go on.
I've been digging through the archives with the intention of compiling all the monsters and beasties unique to the source, creating a Canonfire Bestiary of sorts.
Oerth Journal has a lot of stuff. (skulltwister, divine slaads, verdant gloom, mountain strangler, terra-cotta golem, deepwood linnorm, moss-cloaked creature template, fleshcutter ant swarm, ogrik, zhem' tahl, chronals, and bunch of others I'm forgetting)
You may already be aware of this, but the first edition of the Canonfire Chronicles will have quite a few new creatures in it: Strangleweed of the Azure Sea, Giant Tube Worms, Pirahna Snails, Turucambi Worms, Dragon's Foot Snails, and Giant Clams! Each of these will be statted for 3.5e.
