    Hello!

New to the website, but started playing in Greyhawk in 2e days. Still the best setting around.

Before coming here, I would’ve characterized my Greyhawk knowledge as “ok, but not great”. After reading some articles and forum discussions, I’ve re-evaluated my knowledge as “less than nothing”. Great to see the setting living on through so many gamers.

YES!!!! Another 2e fan! Cool Glad to know we aren't all extinct! Emongnome, welcome aboard. Hope to see you posting and replying in the Hallowed Halls of the 2e boards...and others, of course. Wink

Thanks. You never forget your first love, and 2e is certainly that for me. Playing 5e now and enjoying it, no apologies, but 2e is special, especially playing mostly 1e adventures around that time.

Welcome aboard! As you are new, your starting THAC0 is 20.

Roll a d10 for initiative! Laughing

I've spent all day trying to come up with an equally witty retort. And failed.

Well played, my friend. Well played.

    Init

When did d10 for init start? My friends used d10 for 1st Edition but the rules say d6. I like d6 for more chances of simultaneous attacks.

    1e uses a d6 for initiative, 2e a d10, 3e a d20, and 5e also a d20.

Welcome! It's always great to see another 2ed fan. As the years go by there seems to be fewer of us.
