Part 12 - The Master Maps of the Flanaess
The so-called “master maps” are actually three separate works, each showing the entire area of the Flanaess.
1. The Master Adventure Map lists the majority of the adventures given in the atlas as a whole. This map is designed for use by the DM as an overall quick reference when plotting campaigns or plot arcs for role-playing.
2. The Player Map is an expansion of the original World of Greyhawk poster maps, similar in nature to that given in four separate issues of Dungeon Magazine. However, this map also includes fan-made locations in addition to updated canon. This map is suitable for player use, since it will not give away any adventure-critical locations.
3. The Political Map lists the heraldry for states, cities, settlements, organizations and individuals of note in their appropriate geographical locations. The map has two purposes: It intended to give the DM a visual overview of the various political boundaries at a glance. It also highlights the heraldry of the Flanaess, one of the unique features of the fantasy world that has never been duplicated in any other to date (to the atlas author’s knowledge).
Regarding the Full-Sized MapsThe maps themselves are separate pdfs, averaging over 20 megabytes apiece in size. Thus, this portion of the atlas gives notes on each map, a size-reduced overview version and finally a sample image from each full-scale map to allow the reader to decide which of the maps they might want."

(User Info | Send a Message) | | It seems that towards the end of the series, atlases have become more sophisticated and detailed. It may happen that there will soon have to return to update the first parts. But in general - is a delight, really looks great. Great idea - do such a tremendous job.

(User Info | Send a Message | Journal) | It is my intention to update all the atlas maps as errors are spotted and new information comes to light. ((For example, I am eagerly waiting on Len Lakofka L5 adventure for more details on Lendore Isle.)
Yes, the maps have increased in sophistication as the atlas has progressed... however the way I organized it was that the lands with the least detail (Baklunish territories ) were first out of the gate.
