Wizard spells per day: 4/9/5/5/4/4/3/3/2. Due to her diminished Intelligence score, Menioth can no longer prepare spells of 7th level or higher, though she may use the slots to prepare metamagic spells. Her base 1st level spells are doubled due to the ring of wizardry she wears. Base DC 13 + spell level, evocation spells 17 + spell level.
Possessions: Ring of wizardry I, ring of protection +3, cloak of minor displacement, staff of brilliance (caster level 10th, magic missile, Menioth’s brilliant bolt DC 19, one charge each), moon bracers (as bracers of armor +1, plus dimension door once per day).

Menioth was a brilliant researcher and wizard, famed for her research into positive energy, when she was transformed into a drakkaren undead. Her unliving state strengthened her body and spirit but diminished her mind, fueling a deep frustration and resentment at her involuntary transformation. Her previously benign nature has turned malignant and deadly, and she has spent several years adapting her spell research to highlight negative energy, a power that comes far easier to her now than positive energy ever did in her lifetime.
Rumors and mannerisms place Menioth’s childhood in Nyrond, though she shows little interest in that land. She turned to arcane studies at an early age, and is rumored to have been an apprentice alongside Nystul, of the Circle of Eight fame, in his studies at the Sorcerous Union in Radigast City. Though the two shared a similar interest in the so-called “primal” energies, and traded research and insights at times, their relationship was otherwise cool and detached. In later years, Menioth changed residences infrequently, seeking financial support through spell research and wealthy patrons rather than adventuring. Ironicly, it was on one of her only sojourns outside the safety of civilization that she was transformed into her current drakkaren state, as she sought a “black pit” rumored to have strong links to the Negative Energy Plane.
Since her abrupt conscription into the forces of woe, Menioth has abandoned her former home and taken up residence in the Bandit Kingdoms, north of the Rift Canyon, in an area rich with negative energy. She keeps occasional and distasteful company with a cleric of Nerull, one Naerzhal Orberend. Neither really like each other, since Naerzhal is a fanatic and Menioth has even less use for the god of death now than she did alive, but he uses his network of cultists to bring her spell materials and she provides him with scrolls and other minor magic items. Menioth is under the control of a great evil, but that malign intelligence has so far seen fit to leave her to her own devices, save for a few carefully worded warnings against revenge.
Menioth has become pale and shrivelled since her transformation to undead, with brittle white hair and emaciated features. She moves slowly and carefully, giving the appearance of great age, but when pressed, her unnatural agility and dexterity become apparent. Her eyes are dark, lacking whites, but glisten with a deep intelligence and cunning. She acts with deliberation and care, never risking herself personally if she can send another. She has lacked strong passions throughout her life, and the trend seems to continue into undeath – she does not appear to desire material power or wealth, simply deeper understanding of the universe’s forces. Left by herself, she would doubtlessly fade into obscurity, another reclusive arcane undead, but her shadowy master may be reluctant to let that happen.

Cool character Nellisir, one question though, and a dumb one at that, what's a Drakkaran?
It sounds very familiar, but I can't put my finger on the source.
