    One would be wise not to wonder over much about such things, particularly not in range of any Knights of the Malagari.

    As for the Silent Ones, it is also dangerous to contemplate their methods of safekeeping, and the quality thereof.

    And as a postscript, Gary Holian noted the sheer irony of the Silents One's and Knights of the Malagari's efforts to keep knowledge of Vecna secret, and said deities portfolio of magical secrets.
    Makes you wonder, did Vecna become a deity because of the faith of his devoted followers, or because his portfolio was empowered by his devoted enemies?
