Well hopefully the third time trying to answer this comment works :). I am having trouble seeing comments I post.
In a nutshell, Izzygul's dad was a druid in the Vesve. He was too powerful to leave so he asked his son to go get help. Izzygul went to Furyondy trying to find some fighters to help in the Vesve. He decided to team up with a mercenary company, make friends, get some favors, and then convince them to move to the Vesve for a bit.
